Iconic comedian Louie Anderson will be coming to Poughkeepsie next year.

The Bardavon just announced that the Emmy-winner will be playing a show on Sunday, March 18th at their location on Market Street in Poughkeepsie. Tickets range from $34 to $69 and go on sale for the general public next week, on September 15th. For Bardavon members, those tickets go on sale a couple days earlier, on September 13th.

Anderson has been working since the 80's and can be seen in movies like Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Coming to America, and was for a little while the host of Family Feud. More recently, he's been starring on Baskets, a critically-acclaimed FX sitcom created by Louis CK and Zach Galifianakis. It's a great show, and his performance as Galifianakis' mother is the best thing about it; it's such a good role, it won him an Emmy last year for Best Supporting Actor, and he's nominated in the same category this year for the show's second season.

I became a big fan of Anderson through Baskets, so I'm definitely interested in going to this. Will you be going to see Louie Anderson at the Bardavon?
