An employee of Macy's in the Hudson Valley Mall and one other person have been arrested by the Town of Ulster Police Department and charged with grand larceny.

According to the Town of Ulster Police Facebook Page, Audrey Bullock was the employee of the soon to be closing Macy's store inside the Hudson Valley Mall. She was charged on Monday with two felonies.

The Town of Ulster police received a complaint from the Macy's loss prevention team on Monday and after an investigation. They found that Bullock allowed Davey Sanchez to exit the Mall store without paying for items that totaled almost $700. Police said that Bullock voided out the transaction at the cash register like it never happened and Sanchez went on his way. Sanchez was also charged by police with a misdemeanor, petit larceny.

The police dug a little deeper and also found out that Bullock had done this before, as she allowed two other people on two separate occasions to exit the store without paying for merchandise as well. The total value of merchandise stolen was under $3,000.

Both suspects were released and will appear in the Town of Ulster Court later this month.
