Additional Information

Summer, a season for fun, easy times, sharing meals with people at barbecues, picnics, al fresco dinner parties. Once upon a time, preparing those meals was so simple. Now, however, you have to make roughly ten alternative varieties of whatever you're serving so that you can accommodate your guests who adhere to any number of special eating regimens: gluten-free, FODMAP-free, vegetarian, vegan, paleo, low-carb, no-carb, all-carb, raw and strictly organic to name just a few.
Food sensitivities and fad diets have never been more prevalent. They make for some awkward moments when people break bread together (gluten-free, of course).
And awkward moments are what great stories are made of.
The event will be emceed by Sam Osterhout, writer and host of "The Locals" variety show and podcast.
