Eight-month herbal intensive with Halyna Shepko journeying through her Medicine Wheel garden, ponds, outdoor and indoor classrooms, on her 23 acre botanical sanctuary, Shawangunk Ridge Farm, in New Paltz, N.Y. Learn about using the wisdom of the Medicine Wheel for healing yourself and others together with herbs, weeds, trees, diet, meditation, and self-care. This program is an intensive and students are asked to do herbal homework outside of the class.

Fee-$950
Deposit – $150 due by April 10th to hold a space. Non-refundable non-transferable.
Work Study available.
Pay in full by 1st class or pay in 3 installments 1st due May 1st, 2nd due July 1st, 3rd by October 1st.
Bring covered dish for potluck lunch class sessions

During the eight-month class students are required to do “herbwork” to dive deeper into specific topics of their interest through the following activities:
Create your own Materia Medica
Plan and plant Medicine Wheel
Do a Public Presentation on an herbal topic. Part of final class will be open to the public to give students an opportunity to share a topic they are interested in, ending with a Community Potluck to follow and celebration of successfully completing program.

Halyna Shepko is an Herbalist for over twenty years. Raised by an Ukrainian grandmother and mother, who both used homeopathy, essential oils, herbal tinctures and teas for health issues. Halyna was raised eating comfrey, drinking chamomile tea, and herbal tinctures and has deep gratitude for first formal teachings of Herbal Intensive with Jennifer Costa and went on to complete Herbal Therapeutics Graduate Studies with David Winston. As a practitioner at Healthcare is a Human Right, Halyna offers Herbal, Reiki, and Flower Essence consultations as well as has a Clinical Herbalist practice on her farm. Aside from herbalism, Halyna raises sheep and goats and is a fiber artist uses weaving for healing.
