Documentary Screening: Crossing Waters by Jane Watson
Crossing Waters is the first comprehensive film that tells the story of immigration in the First Ward, better known as Mt. Carmel/Little Italy, Poughkeepsie. The film begins in the 1850s when waves of Irish, Polish, and Italian immigrants labored on the railroads, bridges, quarries to build a society that eventually became the story of America. Dr. Harvey Flad will conduct a Q & A after the film. Seating is limited, registration recommended. Doors open at 2 pm.
