Back in the day, before smart phones and social media, before every kid had soccer or softball practice six days a week, it wasn't unusual for families to actually enjoy each other's company. Dinner time conversations, watching a favorite television show together in real time, or playing a game. The family that plays together stays together. or something like that.

If that sounds like something you and your family would enjoy, you might want to pack up the kids and head to Red Hook. The Red Hook Public Library will be holding their first ever Family Game Night on Friday April 6 at 5:30 pm in the library community room. It's an evening of light hearted competition with traditional board games, cards, telephone, pict-charades, and more. Sometimes the most simple things are the best.

Family Game Night at the Red Hook Public Library is free and open to the public. For more information, call (845) 758-3241.
