Fatal Beating Outside Newburgh Bar

An altercation outside a Newburgh bar early this morning turned fatal for one Hudson Valley resident. The Times Herald Record reports a 40 year old man was beaten to death outside a Washington Street bar/restaurant.

The incident took place outside the El Rey Del Pollo IV just after 4 a.m. Friday morning, which is located directly across the street from Delano-Hitch Stadium. Reportedly, both the suspect and victim has been at the establishment earlier in the evening.

The names of the suspect and victim have yet to be released. This is Newburgh's first homicide victim of the year, he passed away at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital.
