Foo Fighters Big Announcement At Austin City Limits

The Foo Fighters rocked out at the Austin City Limits music festival over the weekend and Dave Grohl made most of the opportunity by announcing the band had recorded five new songs. He had this to say about the new tunes.

You know what I did last night, we recorded five f#@king new songs in your beautiful city.

Austin was featured on the Foo Fighters award winning HBO series 'Sonic Highways' and the album that accompanied the show. A different musical guest was featured on each song, each of which recorded in a different city.

One of the new songs will feature Ben Kweller who made a special guest appearance with the band during their performance at the fest. Dave announced earlier this year they will be doing a second season of Sonic Highways, but no word on when filming will begin.

While Grohl's foot is healing, he's still rocking the throne on stage.
