It's feeling more and more like Halloween here in the Hudson Valley.

Houses are getting decked out with creepy spider webs, skeletons, fake graves and pumpkins out front. Halloween candy is being sold at every single grocery store you can think of and everyone is putting the finishing touches on their creative costumes.

Unlike Christmas and Easter, kids aren't trying to catch someone in the act of leaving them gifts on Halloween. They're just in it for the free candy. Throughout the years, especially with Christmas, we've seen an influx of ways to keep the kids in line. For example, Elf on the Shelf.

Elf on the Shelf is a small, elf like doll that magically appears in houses during the holiday season. The elf can apparently tell Santa all the bad or good things your kids are up to. It's a lot of fun if you have younger kids.

But how come Halloween can't be in on the fun?

On Facebook user is flipping the script. The post has shown up on my timeline several times this past week and it's just too good not to share.

Ladies and gentleman, we introduce to you Doll in the Hall.

Natasha Hudarovich shared the genius idea and says on Facebook that she gets a creepy doll that her kids already think is "haunted" and place it in a different spot around the house throughout October.

The funniest part? Hudarovich says she'll put the doll in the bed with one of the  kids if they try to get rid of it or throw it away.

Will Doll in the Hall become the new big thing here in the Hudson Valley?
