Four Hudson Valley residents were arrested after reports of a knife-point robbery at local motel.

On Sunday deputies from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office responded to a knife-point burglary in progress at the Capri Motel in the Town of Esopus.

A vehicle matching the description of the one that fled the motel was soon found. A further investigation led to the arrest of the four people involved, police say.

Joseph Petras, 32, and Casy Kurtz, both from Kingston, were both charged with robbery, a felony. Petras was also given a misdemeanor charge for criminal possession of a weapon

Alycia Canfield, 29, of Kingston was charged aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. 29-year-old Erik Fehring of Stone Ridge received misdemeanor charges for criminal possession of a controlled substance and possessing an imitation controlled substance.

Petras, Kurtz and Fehring were arraigned in the Town of Esopus Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail, Petras and Kurtz in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 secured bond and Fehring in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $3,000 secured bond. Canfield was released with traffic tickets.
