I can understand the idea of bringing a beloved movie series to the small screen. You get to expand on the characters, really flesh out their day to day lives and interactions.

However, I didn't think one of those series was "Lethal Weapon". Fox has, obviously, disagreed with me. They recently announced a slate of new shows, one of which is rebooting Riggs and Murtaugh. They're awesome characters. Danny Glover and Mel Gibson were pretty perfect as the duo, and I would think the show would face serious headwinds with the comparisons made to the original characters.

That first scene in the bank, though. That was all kinds of tough to watch, and not because it was a nail-biter. Because it was kinda ridiculous. It felt VERY forced and almost too silly for it to be taken seriously.
