Heavy wet snow is blanketing the Hudson Valley this morning. The slippery driving conditions are causing multiple accidents and road closures.

According to Hudson Valley traffic reporter, Nancy Reamy, the southbound lanes of the Taconic Parkway were completely closed down at 7am near East Fishkill. Soon after, a downed tree closed the northbound lanes near Bryant Pond Road.

A downed tree on Route 9G in Red Hook was affecting southbound traffic on Route 9G near Kelly Road.

Route 84 is also seeing multiple accidents. Eastbound between exits 17 and 19 are slow due to an accident. There is also an accident reported near exit 6 by Montgomery.

At least a half dozen accidents have been reported this morning on the New York State Thruway between Kingston and Newburgh. There are also crashes reported near Harriman.

The wet, heavy snow is expected to keep falling until this afternoon when it's predicted to turn to all rain. Most area schools are closed, but you can check on your local district and other closings and delays on our online database.

This page will be updated throughout the morning.
