Frozen pizza is not something that one admits to eating often. Especially when one lives here in the Hudson Valley and really good, tasty, inexpensive pizza is available just about everywhere and in some cases, can even be delivered to your home.

So what do you do when it's just you and the frozen pizza section at the grocery store? Do you dive in and grab one or two for those nights when you know it's just you? Thinking to yourself, "I can add some extra toppings to that and it will be awesome". Three minutes in the microwave, maybe 10-12 if you exert yourself by going all out and actually turning your toaster oven or regular oven. What do you buy? After taking a quick survey around the radio station, and promising to keep the results anonymous, here is the top 5.

  • Celeste's (also the one mostly to have additional toppings added)
  • Jeno's
  • Totino's (The voting was equal for the pizza and the pizza rolls)
  • Stouffers French Bread Pizza (but only for those who wanted a crunchier crust and to spend more money on their guilt
  • Lean Cuisine (For those who didn't also want to have a few hundred calories and guilt to weigh them down).

Which ones do you grab for when "getting your frozen pizza on"? Any one of the above or do you have a personal favorite?

Here is how these things of beauty are made:
