FREEDOM PLAINS – It has been a bumpy road for the Ketcham Indians football team this season. Last week, more pot holes, speed bumps, and road blocks for the Indians to navigate through. Head Coach Bill Roos resigned on Thursday (although there are some who think he was forced out) and Ketcham had to face Arlington on Friday.

And while Ketcham has not won a game this season (0-6) and hadn’t scored in its previous three games, the Indians did get a somewhat moral victory when they scored 16 points under interim head coach Ed Coviello. Those 16 points were the first points that Ketcham scored since September 13th.

Meanwhile the Arlington Admirals have had no problem putting up points after losing to Number 1 League Ranked John Jay. The Admirals have been red hot since then and have won every game since (5-1) including this matchup with Ketcham, 38-16.

Arlington was “gifted” its first points of the game when a bad punt snap sailed into the end zone for a safety. Arlington followed that up with an interception for a 78 yard TD, a passing TD and another safety for a 24 -0 halftime lead. But RCK didn’t quit and came out with 16 points in the second half, led by Tai-Sean Dodd who scored on runs of 6 and 37 yards.

It was Arlington’s Rob Tannenbaum with the 78-yard pick six interception return, and Austin Green’s 5-yard score that set the tone for this game. Check out the video highlights, powered by Hudson Valley Sports Report.
