Legendary 90's alt rockers Garbage are back with a new album and hit single. The band has just released a video for the song 'Empty' which is set to appear on their new album due out this summer. Strange Little Birds drops on June 10th.

A big tour has been announced in support of the release and it includes an August 1st date in New York City at Central Park Summerstage. They'll be in New Jersey at Starland Ballroom on 7/27 if you decide you don't want to head into the city.

While all four members of Garbage are songwriters and have production credits, drummer Butch Vig is perhaps best known for producing Nirvana's Nevermind. Vig had played with bassist Duke Erikson in other projects, while guitarist Steve Marker was their sound engineer. Lead singer Shirley Manson was originally singer for a band by the name of Angelfish. They came together to form arguably one of the most influential bands of the 90's.
