Geek Of The Year Is Here!

Geek Of The Year has been chosen and the person selected, is familiar to almost everyone. LeVar Burton's campaign to resurrect "Reading Rainbow" is earning him the title of "Geek-Of-The-Year."  TheWrap.com reports that Burton will receive the honor at this year's Geekie Awards.  LeVar isn't hiding the fact that he's a "self-avowed geek" and says he's "honored" to get the Geek-Of-The-Year award.  He adds that "Geek culture" is all about "diversity, inclusion, creativity and innovation," which are all values he identifies with.  This year's Geekie Awards will be streamed live on Twitch.tv August 17th at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
