So I fell off the fitness wagon. And I bounced several times when I hit the ground.

This has been a long summer. My wife and I welcomed another maniacal little kid into our house.

I sprained my ankle harder than I EVER have during the Insane Inflatable 5k, to the point where I STILL can't run all that well and I cant turn to the right (it's like I'm Zoolander) because of the pain.

I had an inner and outer ear infection in my right ear, and then 3 weeks later had an outer ear infection in my left ear.

I went on week-long beach vacations a week apart and drank my body weight in liquid carbs.

Needless to say, I'm out of shape. By A LOT.

I recently ran (excuse me, WALKED) a Spartan Race in Mountain Creek. It was an 8+ mile ordeal, where I cramped up about half way through. It was awful. I had no business being on the course, and I was a little embarrassed.

So, back into it. With a vengeance.

I'm starting something new this Monday. I've got a months to get ready for beach season. I've got an idea of the races I want to run, the things I want to accomplish. How I want to feel.

WRRV is going to be launching something fun soon, in regards to the runners in the Hudson Valley, so hopefully we can all have some fun and get healthy together. I'll go over how I'm going to keep myself on track and what I'm going to be doing to get myself back on the healthy side of life.

Check back on Monday!
