Instead of just staring at the walls during the next snowstorm, why not start planning your escape, I mean, your vacation or weekend getaways? If you think that your budget can’t handle too may getaways or vacations, with the Empire Pass, you may be surprised how much you can do once the green grass and warm temperatures return to the Hudson Valley.

NY State Parks' have the Empire Pass, which is a card that can be used for unlimited day-use vehicle entry to most locations operated by the NY State Parks or the New York State Environmental Conservation, which includes, forests, beaches, trails and more. Plus, since it’s a card, grandparents, caregivers, and other family members can also use it.

The 2018 Empire Pass is now available for $65, but only until March 31. For those families who get the Empire pass each year, you can also purchase either a multi-year Empire Pass or a lifetime Empire pass. While this pass doesn’t cover camping, golf, or historic site fees, you can purchase gift cards through New York State Parks to help cover those costs.

The more you use the pass, the more money you’ll save. For more information and links to purchase your Empire Pass, click here.
