A craft brewery in Australia has decided to test the theory that you can make beer using anything. In this case? Carrots. You know you need your vitamins. And you know you don't eat enough vegetables. But you also know you do get enough of one thing--perhaps too much, in fact--and that thing is beer.

We will save the ethical and practical discussions of whether there is ever enough beer for another time.

What I'm getting at is that, goshdarnit, there oughta be a way to get your vitamins in your beer. So let's all thank Four Hearts Brewing for bringing us Wabbit Saison, a beer that not only provides you with 16% carrot juice, but also helps out local Australian produce companies, as the carrots used in the beer would otherwise go to waste.

Says brewer Wade Curtis: "I saw the carrots and I thought 'it's a vegetable, it's got sugar, it can be converted to alcohol, wouldn't it be great to pair with beer?'"

Yes, it would. I will repeat something I say often when beer is involved (more than once getting me in trouble): Hey, why not?
