It looks like Golden Corral will open their doors once again.

The owner is currently in talks with a franchisee for the Golden Corral on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie, and it appears to be lease out at this point.

The Poughkeepsie location closed up shop less than two months after opening, and the building has been left closed since March 2017.

According Poughkeepsie Town Supervisor, Jay Baisley they are planning to open at the end of September or early October, but that is not confirmed. They have not started hiring as of yet to Baisley's knowledge.

The for sale sign has been taken down, and they have been mowing and landscaping, so it appears it will definitely be opening.

The Department of Labor is investigating the circumstance surrounding the closure, as former employees claims multiple workers were not paid.

In the short time they were open the first time, they gained a lot of negative attention. Do you think Golden Corral can make it work this time? Leave your comments
