Few entities are as influential and culturally significant as Google. What began as a basic search engine--one of many, at the time, as anyone who was a big internet user in the late 90s can attest (shouts to WebCrawler and AltaVista)--has become a massive presence in both the realms of the internet and politics. In fact, they've grown so much that there's concern among some that they've gone too far and become an overbearing, Big Brother-esque figure looming over culture.

So, with that in mind, let's take a look at the friendly, happy, Crayola-like new logo they just dropped on our heads:
