It would seem this summer is shaping up to scare the bejeezus out of everyone.

Mary Lee, the tagged great white shark, has been swimming up and down the eastern seaboard. The horrific story of 2 separate shark attacks 90 minutes apart on Oak Island in North Carolina. In California, some lifeguards put a drone over a beach and found TEN SHARKS in the area, just munching on some fish.

Sharks are terrifying. There's no 2 ways about it.  But the crazy thing about this world of ours is that you're more likely to be killed driving to the beach then be attacked by a shark.

About 150 people are killed in the United States every year when they drive into a freaking deer. Sharks kill less than 10 people per year. Also, 50% of all shark attacks are surfers.

SO! By all means, be cautious. Pay attention to your lifeguards. Don't go swimming near seals (seriously). Don't let the scary news ruin your beach vacation though.

And keep an eye out for Bambi on the road.
