Are you a fan of zombies, ghosts and Halloween? All year long? Then how about taking a trip on the 'Haunted History Trail?' Yes, this is something that is real and exists throughout New York State.

Here are the locations in the Hudson Valley that are a part of it:

  • Bannerman Island
If you and your friends want to check this place out, it is a bit tricky to actually get out to, you will have to take a tour and those run seasonally on the weekends.
  • Miss Fanny's Victorian Party House
Miss Fanny's is a real three-story farmhouse that you can visit, or hold a small gathering at. How about a private medium reading for you and a few friends? They also have several scheduled events throughout the year.
  • St James Episcopal Historic Graveyard Tour
This is located in Hyde Park. The tours will start up again in October of 2016 and according to their website, quick to sell out. The tour is one hour long and suitable for those 5 and older. It is recommended that you dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
  • Wing's Castle
Wing's Castle is located in Millbrook and has taken the owners over 25 years to complete using approximately 85% salvaged materials from other antique buildings. Tours are available seasonally and there are accommodations for overnight stays.
