A flash flood watch is in effect for the Hudson Valley, as the tropical remnants of Florence will be widespread rainfall to our area.  The rain will be heavy at times, with some embedded thunderstorms.  Of course, Florence dumped tons of rain on the Carolina’s and caused major flooding.  There is the potential to see one to two inches from this weather event.

Rain for the most of the day on Tuesday, it will still be muggy.  Temps gets up near 80. Good news, high pressure will build in late Tuesday into Wednesday.  This will usher in cooler and drier air for the rest of the week.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tuesday:  Rain, heavy at times.  Possible thunderstorms.  High near 79.

Tuesday night:  Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62.  A chance of showers early.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 55. Light northeast wind.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 71.
