Help the Hudson Valley Family Who Lost Everything in Home Explosion

Here’s how you can help a Hudson Valley family who lost everything after an explosion destroyed their home.

The explosion happened just before 4 p.m. Tuesday at a home on Walling Road in Pine Island, reports ABC.

A mother of three was inside the home when the blast occurred. She was trapped at first, but somehow managed to free herself, and her dog, after falling through a ceiling. Her husband and children weren't home at the time.

The home burst into flames and was destroyed. There's no word yet on what caused the blast.

A GoFundMe page has been setup to help the Kunisch Family. The page notes that Denise Kunisch and her family are, “safe and sound, but all belongings have been lost.”

Allendale Police wrote on Facebook that, “their family has been in Allendale doing the right thing for the community and now the community has a chance to pay that back.”

As of this writing, in just over 24 hours, over $120,000 has been raised.
