Parents, is this too much? Or it is just a cute thing for babies?

A company called Pee Wee Pumps is selling shoes with soft, collapsible high heels for babies.  The shoes come in six different styles including a leopard print and the Pennsylvania-based company's website touts them as "your daughter's first fashion statement."  But parenting advocates are using some other terms to describe the tiny footwear that's available online through sites like Amazon for 35-dollars a pair.  The head of one parenting website said putting adult fashions on a newborn baby is simply not appropriate.  Another mother called the baby shoes utterly hideous. What would you "call" them?
