Three men were arrested following a high-speed chase that ended in Kingston.

On August 2 at approximately 1:45 a.m. state police attempted to stop a vehicle on I-87, in the Town of Ulster for a vehicle and traffic violation.

The operator of the vehicle, Aaron Rice, 26 of Bronx, N.Y. failed to comply and evaded the traffic stop at a high rate of speed. After a short pursuit was initiated the vehicle exited the Thruway at the Kingston tolls, and quickly pulled into a local business to evade police.

Rice, along with two passengers, John Singleton, 27 of Albany, and Nigel G. Spencer, 29 of the Bronx, N.Y. were all taken into custody without further incident.

While conducting a search of the vehicle, 51 gram of crack cocaine and approximately 4 grams of marijuana was discovered. All three men were processed at the state police Kingston barracks.

The charges include: unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of marijuana, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

All three men are awaiting arraignment, no bail information is available at this time. There were no injuries reported during this incident.
