Historic Graveyard Tours Launch Again in October

October is quickly approaching and with it your chance to grab your friends and get scared together in a fun and different way. How about a Graveyard Tour? Yeah, I didn't really know what to expect either. My original thought was, what are we going to do, walk around tombstones at night and try not to bump into any of them?

So after seeing the signs on Route 9G in Hyde Park, I decided to investigate a bit more. What I learned, surprised and intrigued me. The graveyard tour takes place in Hyde Park at the St James Church, 4526 Albany Post Rd (Route 9) over the course of select Fridays and Saturdays in October (7, 8, 14, 15, 21 and 22). The cost for the tour is $17 per person in advance and children 5-12 are $7.

The tour is an hour long and will take place rain or shine. According to the website, the tour is appropriate for those age 5 and older. It is also suggested that you wear comfortable shoes, clothing (maybe bring a jacket).
