Historic Tavern Trail Visits Locations Through Dutchess County

Do you enjoy learning about local history? How about learning about local lore and having a drink while doing it? There is a MeetUP group that is checking out a different historical Dutchess County tavern each month. Each event has been or will be taking place on the second Friday of the month. • August 12, The Stissing House, Pine Plains
• September 9, Old Drovers Inn, Dover Plains
• October 14, Kimlin Cider Mill, Poughkeepsie
• October 29, Special Halloween Event

At each location, the history of the tavern will be explained along with details (and in some instances samples) of what would have been drunk during their hay day.
