How Long Can You Drive Your Car on Empty?

Have you ever rolled the gas light dice?

We got talking this morning on the Wakin' Up with CJ and Jess Show about the low gas light coming on in your car or truck and whether or not you have ever rolled the dice to see how long you can drive with the light on before you run out of gas.

Jess said that she has never tried it because her Dad and Pop have always told her that she should never let her gas gauge go below a half a tank and she sticks to it with her car.

Me on the other hand, have done this before and I seem to do it almost every week. I don't know how many miles I have to drive before I run out of gas but I do know that when my light comes on, I have enough gas to get from the radio station to my house and then to a close gas station before I run out.
