How Not To Take Selfies (By The Russian Government)
Apparently there are quite a few Russians who have been killed recently while taking selfies. Russian news agency Tass says there have been over ten deaths and about a hundred accidents so far in 2015 from people striking dangerous poses for a selfie.
This problem is bad enough that the Russian interior ministry has put out a brochure with instructions on how not to get killed when taking a picture of yourself. The brochure warns against taking selfies
- on railroad tracks,
- with loaded guns,
- on rooftops,
- with animals
- and in other risky situations.
At a press conference for the brochure, a Russian official told citizens that the chase for 'likes' in social networks can lead to "the road of death."
