There are actually multiple, data-based ways, to avoid a speeding ticket in the Hudson Valley, and New York State.

1. Drive at 3 a.m. on Mondays
Weird, right? According to Traffictickets.com, 2.5% of speeding tickets given in New York State were given between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. And just 13.5% of speeding tickets in New York were written on Mondays, the lowest of any day of the week

2. Drive during winter
Traffictickets.com says that December and January consistently have the lowest amount of speeding tickets written. In December 2017, 7.6% of tickets in New York were given out in December and January drivers had 6.5% of tickets given.

3. Drive less than 11 miles per hour over the speed limit
Less than 2% of speeding tickets were given for speeds less than 11 miles per hour over the speed limit, according to Traffictickets.com.
