A Hudson Valley ice cream company is giving out free ice cream to celebrate Spring.

On Tuesday, March 20, Dairy Queen will be giving out free ice cream cones in honor of the first day of Spring. According to Delish, this is the fourth annual free cone day that Dairy Queen has put on.

The free cone day takes place at participating non-mall locations of both Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill restaurants. Each customer will get one free small vanilla cone. While the cones are free, DQ is accepting donations to benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Last year, they raised close to $300,000, according to the article.

Dairy Queen has locations in Wappingers, Hyde Park, and Newburgh. Newburgh's location is listed as 'treat only'. I have no clue what that means, considering they serve food and have ice cream cakes for sale. Hopefully, the Hudson Valley locations will all be participating.
