A few weeks ago news broke that Oscar nominated actor, and Hudson Valley resident, James Cromwell would be spending three days in an Orange County jail. Cromwell was arrested back in 2015 while protesting outside of Competitive Power Ventures, a power plant, in Wawayanda. Along with the jail time, Cromwell was ordered to 16 hours of community service and $375 fine.

Fines, community service and jail time hasn't stopped Cromwell from continuing his fight for Animal rights. People Magazine is reporting that Cromwell was arrested, again, on Monday July 24th 2017. Along with a group of PETA supporters, Cromwell made his way to Orca Encounter show at SeaWorld in San Diego to protest the poor treatment of the animals. PETA provided a live video on Facebook during the encounter including Cromwells arrest:

Cromwells actions shouldn't be a surprise, he told People shortly after his short jail sentence  "As soon as I get out of jail, I’m going somewhere else to do another action. I don’t separate things in my life. Who I am is what I do — I act, I practice my craft and I also stand up for the things I believe in. That’s what we all have to do.”

James Cromwell was nominated for his role in in Babe: Pig in The City in 1996.
