A local Rondout Savings Bank was robbed Wednesday afternoon and authorities are seeking clues. The branch on Schwenk Drive in Kingston was held up by a man who then fled on foot towards the Dutch Village Apartments on Washington Avenue. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

In a press release, City of Kingston Police said the robbery took place at 3:44 pm when a man entered the bank and demanded money. The suspect is approximately 5 foot 8 inches tall and was wearing black sunglasses, black hat black short sleeve shirt and white sneakers.

There is also an anonymous tip line at (845) 331-4499 if you'd like to keep your identity hidden. Kingston Police are receiving support from the Ulster County District Attorney's office, State Police and the NYSP Aviation Unit. County Sheriff's Office and Town of Ulster Police are in on the investigation as well.
