A Hudson Valley couple has been arrested and charged with drug possession after their car was stopped for tinted windows that exceeded legal standards.

The Times Herald Record reports Summer Plain of Cornwall and Antonio McGill of Poughkeepsie were traveling in the Town of Lloyd when they were pulled over for the illegal tints. They were reportedly found to be in possession of MDMA along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia. MDMA also known as Molly or 'E', has been known to cause hyperthermia and dehydration in users and is a popular drug within the 'rave' scene. After effects of the drug can last for up to a week.

Plain and McGill have been charged with second degree possession of a criminal substance, a felony, along with criminally using drug paraphanalia and unlawful possession of marijuana. They were arraigned and sent to Ulster County Jail on $50,000 cash bail. Both are due back in court Tuesday.
