Hudson Valley Dentist Charged With Fraud
An insurance company claims a dentist from Poughkeepsie has been extracting more than teeth.
Gilberto Nunez, a dentist with offices in Kingston, has been charged with five felony counts of falsifying business records as well as felony charges of grand larceny and insurance fraud, according to the Daily Freeman. He allegedly made $8,400 in false insurance claims related to offices which had burned to the ground.
No one was injured in the fire and he is not accused of having set the fire. After posting $15,000 bail, he's due back in court on May 5.
