A Dutchess County man has been sentenced to 35 years in prison after selling heroin to three local people that led to their death.

The Daily Freeman reports 37-year-old Dennis Sica of Hopewell Junction was given the sentence Thursday in a White Plains federal court. He stood accused of lacing the heroin he was selling with fentanyl, which is a strong anesthetic. The packets that the heroin were sold in were labeled 'Breaking Bad' after the hit TV show.

The victims included 20-year-old Anthony Delello of Beekman, Thomas Miller of Pawling and Laura Brown of Milford, CT. Miller and Brown were both found dead on Feb. 1, 2014. Sica was arrested the following day in East Fishkill and was found in possession of several of the 'Breaking Bad' heroin packets.

Sica had been accused of continuing to sell the drugs despite being aware of the initial overdose to Delello. Another bad guy off the streets.
