I've been a huge fan of The Witcher books, being the Sci-Fi/Fantasy geek that I am. Originally written in Polish, the syntax got a little goofy sometimes in the early stories, but it's a crazy good series.

Long story short, Geralt of Rivia is a bad ass. There's been video games about the series before, but The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt looks like they've finally put everything together.

Early reviews of this bad boy is that it's massive. There's tons of places, name and facts to keep track of, and the depth of play is supposed to be amazing. (Although, there are reports that it's getting slammed for bungling their Korean language package.)

Gamespot gave this thing a 10 out of 10, deeming it "essential" to any gamer who considers himself a gamer.

Do yourself a favor, and start planning your "illness" ahead of time at work (queasy on a Thursday afternoon, food poisoning on a Friday *wink*) and get your ass to the store.
