The lawyer for a Hudson Valley Grammy winner thinks playing his client’s songs in court will get the artist out of a jail…

DMX, 47, of Yonkers is scheduled to be sentenced for tax evasion on Wednesday.
The rapper’s attorney, Murray Richman, requested he play DMX’s music at the sentencing because the artist might be too emotional to speak.

Richman thinks the music will help the court understand DMX, “genuinely in his voice”, according to court documents.

According to CBS, the attorney wants to play DMX hits like “Slippin'" and "The Convo."

Lyrics in “Slippin” include, “I'm slippin', I'm fallin', I can't get up." In “The Convo” DMX raps, “Thou shall not steal, but I will to eat. I tried doin' good, but good's not too good for me."
