A Hudson Valley heroin dealer with a lengthy criminal past is heading to prison.

On Wednesday in Ulster County Court, Shawn Bradley of Kingston was sentenced to 12 years in state prison after he pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon.

Bradley was also sentenced to seven years in prison for criminal sale of a controlled substance. The sentences will run simultaneously.

Bradley was arrested after a two-month undercover investigation into heroin sales in the City of Kingston. He was later indicted by an Ulster County Grand Jury for selling heroin to an agent of the City of Kingston Police Department on two separate dates.

A search warrant executed on Bradley’s home led to the discovery of 1,668 bags of heroin, cocaine, a loaded Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun and $24,800 in U.S. currency, officials say.

Bradley’s lengthy prior criminal history includes a 1991 conviction for robbery, attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance in 2007, aggravated trafficking of drugs in 2011 and a violation of parole in 2015.
