If you were to travel to every town in New York State, you would discover hundreds of amazing, beautiful, and historic sites. Each tells their own story as to how the town was founded, saved, or made famous.

Here in the Hudson Valley, we have no shortage of historical locations and today, one of those locations has received recognition from New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and this year's New York State Historic Preservation Awards.

These awards honor the work done to preserve, rejuvenate, and protect New York's historic landmarks. Congratulations to the Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct and architect Stephen Tilly for their work on the Old Croton Aqueduct Keeper's House.

This house was built in 1850 and, after some much needed renovations, now provides a space for exhibits to be enjoyed by the public as well as providing office space for the state parks' staff, and public restrooms.
