Hudson Valley Library Hosting Halloween Costume Exchange
It's around this time every year that parents start to panic a little bit.
Halloween is three weeks away and kids are pressing their parents to take them to Party City or Spirit Halloween to get them the perfect costume.
If you haven't been to one of these stores in a while, let me catch you up. Halloween costumes are expensive. You want to dress like an avocado, you better be ready to drop at least $30. Imagine if you were Guacamole!?
If you're kid is looking to dress up like one of those wildly popular inflatable dinosaurs you're looking at spending almost $50.
The Howland Public Library is looking to help you save a little money all while coming up with a new costume for your kids this Halloween season. They'll be hosting the Halloween costume Exchange this weekend.
Starting at 10am, and running until 7pm, on Thursday October 11th, you can donate a new or gently used costume. On Friday(10/12 4pm-6pm) and Saturday (10/13 10am-12pm) you can return for a costume exchange.
The Howland Public Library notes that they will only be taking and exchanging childresn costumes and they "reserves the right to turn away costumes" adding "We cannot guarantee you will find a suitable costume in the exchange."
The Howland Public Library is located at 313 Main St in Beacon.
