Hudson Valley Loses a Legend

Very sad news surfaced yesterday afternoon that well known humanitarian and community activist John Flowers had passed away at age 71. I had the pleasure of getting to know John while I worked at Cablevision News, interviewing him countless times.

There really aren't words to describe what John did for his community. He loved the City of Poughkeespie, it's people and worked tirelessly for 25 years to give back to others. John will sorely be missed but we were so very lucky to have him in our community while we did.
