Following a long investigation, a Hudson Valley man was arrested for allegedly stealing over $30,000 in jewelry and cash from his girlfriend and her family.

In 2014, the Ramapo Police Department began investigating a case from the Village of Airmont. The complainted stated that 42-year-old Erik Solis, of Greenwood Lake, stole jewelry and cash amounting to over $30,000 from his girlfriend and girlfriend’s family.

After an extensive investigation, and lots of talks with the accuser, Solis was arrested in connection with the thefts. Police would not say how they connected Solis to the thefts.

Tuesday, Solis was arrested and charged with grand larceny, a felony. He is due to return to Airmont Justice Court later this month.
