A Hudson Valley man is accused of having sexual online conversations with a minor and providing her with drugs.

Jason Hinson, 34, of Port Jervis was arrested by Port Jervis police detectives after an investigation into allegations that Hinson was engaged in sexually explicit online communications with minors.

An investigation determined that Hinson asked a 15-year-old female to engage in a sex act, using an online device, and sold the same minor marijuana, police say.

Hinson with charged with first-degree dissemination of incident materials to a minor, second-degree criminal sale of marijuana, both class D felonies, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.

Hinson was arraigned in Port Jervis City Court and remanded to the custody of the Orange County Sheriff's Office on $2,500 cash bail.
