Police: Hudson Valley Man Tased During Felony DWI Arrest

A car accident early Sunday morning ultimately led to one Hudson Valley resident getting tased, then arrested. 

According to a press release from the Saugerties Police Department, the accident occurred on Old Stage Rd in Saugerties and was a roll over. When authorities arrived, the suspect Frederick Manfo fled the scene.

Saugerties Police deployed a K9 and Manfo was located a short time later hiding in the woods. At this point he fought with officers, which resulted in one of the officers deploying his taser. He was taken into custody without further incident.

Manfo faces a variety of charges and was sent to Ulster County bail in lieu of $10,000 Bail.
