One of the most iconic beers in the craft world is finally reaching the shelves and tap handles in New York state and one of the folks brewing it got his start right here in the Hudson Valley.

Outside of the East Coast (and even in some areas in the east), New Belgium's Fat Tire seems to be everywhere. A delicious amber ale that's as perfect to drink on a crisp Fall day as it is to cool you off in the summer, it's no wonder why it's so popular.

But for the longest time, the beer wasn't available to those of us in the northeast. Fortunately, now that there's a New Belgium brewing operation going on in North Carolina, we're able to get our hands on the stuff.

Geoff Wenzel, who cut his teeth in the brewing world with landmark Hudson Valley brewery Keegan Ales, is now working at New Belgium. He stopped by WRRV to talk to us about the launch of the beer in New York, and where you can get your hands on it.
