A new report shows that the Hudson Valley is about to hit peak foliage for the fall season this weekend.

According to I Love NY, the Hudson Valley is almost at its peak season for foliage. Parts of the Catskills are currently in their peak season of fall foliage or are about to approach its peak as well.

I Love NY says that their spotters (you know, leaf spotters) in Greene County expect the trees to be at peak foliage, with 100% of the trees turned shades of red, orange, yellow, and burgundy for this weekend, October 12 through October 14. Delaware County is expected to have 75% of its trees changed to warm shades this weekend.

In Ulster County, spotters for I Love NY predict that foliage will be at its peak. But for certain parts of the county, like Kingston, only 40% of leaves are expected to have changed color. Sullivan County is expected to be at its midpoint, with 50% of the leaves changing color.

In more Southern parts of the Hudson Valley, leaves are expected to be at 45-55% change. Expect lots of yellow and gold color leaves in parts of Dutchess County, like Poughkeepsie. Goshen and most of Orange County is expected to be at 35% change this weekend. Rockland County will also be at 35% change, according to I Love NY. Bear Mountain State Park is expected to only be at 20% color change. Westchester County will have about 5% of its leaves changing color this weekend.
