An inmate in the Hudson Valley is accused of tossing urine on an officer.

Detectives from the Ulster County Sheriff's Office report the arrest of 23-year-old Dayshawn Allen, AKA Stacks, an inmate in the custody of the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.

Allen was an inmate at the Ulster County Jail prior to being transferred to NYDOCS.

On April 21, Allen called an Ulster County Jail corrections officer over to his cell and threw liquid on the officer, police say.

Detectives collected the clothing for analysis. An examination of the officer's clothing by the New York State Police Forensic Investigation Center allegedly revealed that the liquid that was thrown contained urine.

Allen was subsequently indicted by an Ulster County Grand Jury for aggravated harassment of an employee by an inmate, a felony.
